How does Mounjaro dosing work?
Mounjaro dose is slowly increased at increments with each dose considered to be a maintenance dose. Over a period of 6 months, the dose is increased once every month to a maximum dose of 15 mg once weekly. Some patients may be instructed differently by the doctor depending on whether they experience side effects. Always follow your prescribing doctor's directions for use.
Once on your desired maintenance dose, continue until the treatment period ends as decided by your doctor.

How long does Mounjaro Stay in the system?
Mounjaro has a half life of 5 days. It remains in the system for approximately 30 days. The effects will reduce over time and they may still be present until the 30 days.
Do I need needles with Mounjaro?
Yes, however Mounjaro pens come with 4 single-use disposable needles, one for each weekly dose.
How to dispose of your used Mounjaro pen needles?
As Mounjaro is a medical device with a needle, you should not dispose of the used, removed needle in the regular rubbish. Instead, place it in a sealed container or sharps bin. Similarly once the pen finishes, dispose of it in a sharps bin or sealed container. You can buy these from most community pharmacies.
